Sprett activity park in Askim
When you have to drag the kids out the door to leave an activity park, you know that Sprett in Askim has done something right. (Sponsored collaboration with Ille Bra Blogg)
"I don’t want to go home. I want to stay longer. Can we please stay a little longer, Mum? Just a little longer, please?"
We’re locked in tough negotiations right in the middle of the trampoline park, the bowling alley, and the glowing lava mini-golf course inside Sprett Activity Park in Askim. Despite jumping, bouncing, bowling, golfing, climbing, eating, and playing for over four hours, the girls still haven’t had enough. If it were possible, I think they’d happily spend the night among the soft foam cushions in the trampoline park.
In the end, I have to drag them towards the exit – as if they were two stubborn donkeys. My 15-year-old niece laughs so hard she shakes at the commotion. If nothing else, we can certainly conclude that Sprett Activity Park was anything but boring.
We try the trampoline park first. It’s big and has many different zones. And it’s more than just trampolines. Here, you’ll find three fun ninja courses of varying difficulty. Two of the courses are 30 metres long. We feel a bit like Tarzan as we swing from one place to the next. In the middle of the trampoline park is a tall climbing net, or “power tower,” that leads you to a slide.
On some trampolines, there are interactive games that make the jumping even more fun. Can you hit the target? At one end of the trampoline park, there’s a massive air cushion you can jump onto.
The lighting is dimmed, and we’re surrounded by a spectrum of purples, pinks, and blues. It’s almost like being at a wild jumping disco.
We can’t imagine a better place for a sports club end-of-season party, a school celebration, or even a corporate team-building event. Because this is fun for adults too! On Mondays, it’s possible to book the entire park for private events. Perhaps something to consider for your next workplace team-building activity?
Sprett is also a very popular place to celebrate birthdays. You can read more about birthday celebrations here.
In the café, they serve delicious homemade pizza, and you can choose between a thick crust or a thin Italian-style base. They also offer burgers, chicken nuggets, fish and chips, and steak sandwiches. There’s plenty of seating, and you have a great view of the trampoline park.
After jumping, bouncing, and having a great time for over an hour, we head to the bowling alley. In the afternoons on weekdays, this is a popular activity for pensioners, but in the evenings and on weekends, the clientele changes. On Saturday evenings, they’re open until midnight, and from 5 pm, they turn on the disco lights and music, making it quite literally "night fever all night long."
Even though our bowling skills aren’t much to boast about, we do manage to knock down a pin or two. The kids are, of course, most focused on scoring more points than Mum. It’s worth noting that Mum didn’t use the bumpers on the sides of the lane to stop the bowling ball from going into the gutter.
After a few rounds of bowling, we move on to the section of Sprett where they have glow-in-the-dark mini-golf. This is an 18-hole mini-golf course with neon lights on the floor and walls. It’s really cool!
The concept is that you’re not allowed to touch the floor unless it’s your turn to putt. Anyone who touches the glowing, lava-like floor gets a penalty point. We balance and climb our way through the course. The kids think it’s great fun. In fact, this part of Sprett was one of their absolute favourites from the entire visit.
