High-flying fun on Europe's longest suspension bridge in a via ferrata
In the heart of beautiful Halden Canal, you will find a big attraction with Europe's longest suspension bridge in a Via ferrata, climbing trail, and a 250-meter-long zipline – welcome to Via Ferrata Halden Canal.
About a ten-minute drive north of Halden city center, you will find the idyllic Brekke locks. Here, corporate groups looking for a real “kick” can enjoy an experience they will remember for a long time to come.

The Via Ferrata climbing route takes just under two hours to complete. Two guides will accompany you throughout the route, and helmets and harnesses are mandatory and included in the price.

In the old days, harmonious Furuholmen was one of Norway's largest timber rafting sites. This beautiful place is located right where the Glomma river is at its widest, more specifically in the town of Varteig in the sunny city of Sarpsborg. Furuholmen offers all kinds of accommodation throughout the year. There are five cabins that can accommodate up to five people each. The cabins have a historic feel with their own bathrooms and outdoor summer kitchens and indoor kitchenettes.
The Formannhuset can accommodate up to eight people and has a large living room, terrace, kitchen, and bathroom, parking outside the door, and direct access to the water. Perfect for company outings!
“If you want to hold a pleasant company party or other event, we also have a large lavvo in the forest with room for nearly 50 people. This is our own party venue just a few hundred meters into the forest with a fireplace and outdoor toilet,” says the manager of Furuholmen with a chuckle.

The charming MS Brekke takes you on a cruise through Norway's oldest canal system throughout the summer. Departing from Brekke locks on the outskirts of Halden city center, you will enjoy an unforgettable journey through beautiful scenery in a waterway with calm and peaceful waters.
The whole of the Halden Canal has a height difference of 40 meters, spread over three locks. At Brekke, you will also find Europe's highest continuous lock staircase with a lift height of almost 27 meters.
