Fishing in Østfold – A Nature Experience by the Water

Østfold’s lakes and rivers provide abundant opportunities for fishing, both from boats and the shore. Tunevannet in Sarpsborg and Lyseren in Eidsberg are popular destinations for peaceful fishing trips. In Inner Østfold, you can fish in everything from Norway’s longest river, the Glomma, and nutrient-rich streams and ponds in agricultural landscapes, to small, unnamed pools and tarns within the Fjella areas. The Enningdalen watercourse retains much of its original natural state and is home to an early-migrating salmon population that has been moderately affected by external influences.
