Fishing in Østfold – A Nature Experience by the Water

Østfold’s lakes and rivers provide abundant opportunities for fishing, both from boats and the shore. Tunevannet in Sarpsborg and Lyseren in Eidsberg are popular destinations for peaceful fishing trips. In Inner Østfold, you can fish in everything from Norway’s longest river, the Glomma, and nutrient-rich streams and ponds in agricultural landscapes, to small, unnamed pools and tarns within the Fjella areas. The Enningdalen watercourse retains much of its original natural state and is home to an early-migrating salmon population that has been moderately affected by external influences.

Here you’ll Find great fishing spots

Oestfold is a paradise for fishing enthusiasts, with idyllic lakes, rivers, and coastal areas teeming with life. You can catch everything from trout and pike to sea trout and mackerel. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced angler, you’ll find the perfect spots for both relaxation and excitement. Bring your fishing rod and enjoy the stunning nature of Oestfold!
