Håverud is renowned for its canal history, which you can explore at the Dalsland Center, the Canal Museum, and the 150-year-old aqueduct over the waterfall. Just a stone’s throw away is Håfveruds Rökeri & Brasseri, famed for its outstanding smoked fish – the perfect spot for lunch!

Dalsland is proud of its rich traditions in food, music, and art. Driving through the Dalsland forests, you’ll encounter unexpected attractions. Crossing Brudfjället, you’ll find NOT QUITE, an artist centre featuring workshops, galleries, a café, and creative activities. This vibrant, inspiring hub is well worth a longer visit!

From Baldersnäs, it’s a 90-minute drive to Halden. Crossing the border at Kornsjø, take a detour through Bakke to enjoy stunning views of the Iddefjord.
