At last, our city is filled with engine roar and car enthusiasts, and that’s the first sign that summer is on its way.

The interest in American cars has always been strong in Halden, and over time a large car community has developed, reflected in the number of car meets held in Halden throughout the year.

HALDEN CRUISE NIGHT – EVERY WEDNESDAY THROUGH THE SUMMER SEASON

AmCars and rock ’n’ roll have been a firmly rooted part of Halden’s cultural life for many years. Street & Cruisin’ Club Halden invites you to a “classic American car meet” at Fiskertorget on Wednesdays during the summer months. Here, it’s all about American cars from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. From time to time, “true rockabillies” also show up, fully embracing the 1950s style in both cars and clothing.
Lots of horsepower, gleaming chrome, beautiful lines, and paint jobs shining in the evening sun. Come, experience it, and get a proper dose of authentic Halden culture!

BILSPORT CLASSIC “GRENSETREFFET” – WEEK 32

Every year in week 32, Grensetreffet is held in Norway’s Amcar capital, Halden. It’s one of Norway’s most enjoyable events for anyone interested in cars and nostalgia. Car enthusiasts from all over the country fill the city with American cars, vintage cars, trucks, cruises, pin-up culture, and music gatherings. All creating a great atmosphere in town.

KNA CARS & COFFEE – THURSDAYS

Every Thursday throughout the summer, Stevnesletta in front of Fredriksten Kro at Fredriksten Fortress fills up. This is a meet-up for all types of cars and for everyone who loves cars, bringing together hundreds of enthusiasts for car talk and coffee.
40 NOK per car, free for spectators.

GIRLS’ MOTOR SHOW

Every year, a car meet for girls is held here in Halden, specifically at Stevnesletta at Fredriksten Fortress. This event welcomes all girls who love engines, whether you’re driving a shiny show car or an old, worn-out wreck that’s barely holding together. This is the girls’ day, but boys are just as welcome — as spectators or passengers.

ØSTFOLD TRUCK MEET

Whether you’re a truck driver, want to become one, or simply love vehicles, Fredriksten Fortress is the place to be. The truck meet brings together drivers and enthusiasts from all over Østfold, as well as visitors from Eastern Norway, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
