Here you can get everything a big city has to offer. Sidewalk cafés, shops and people. In the nearby areas - you'll find the sheltered villages and beautiful farmland. A brilliant combination!

More than 60,000 people from Indre Østfold live here. Here we live in a central and rural location with easy access to most things. A short distance to Sweden, a short distance to the airport Gardermoen and to Oslo. We're not very good at bragging in Indre Østfold. But if we were to mention something, it might have to be our waterfall power, the power stations that provide the world with plenty of clean energy. While we're on the subject of running water, the Halden Canal through Marker and Aremark with locks. We can also mention that it is we who have defended the country. In Indre Østfold, you'll find significant defenses that prevented the enemy from the east from taking power in Oslo, both in 1814, before and after 1905.
