Indre Østfold region offers many wonderful skating experiences

Even if there isn't enough snow for skiing, the cold weather often makes it possible to go skating. Whether you want to glide across a frozen lake or on an artificial ice rink.

Ice conditions can change quickly. Always use common sense and caution before venturing out onto the ice on lakes and ponds.

Always think safety first!

Skating can be a great way to enjoy nature, but always check the ice before setting out. The first rule is to make sure the ice is safe before you set out. Ask locals, check maps for river mouths and other conditions that can create unsafe ice conditions, check for updated information, and remember: Always use safety equipment!
