Mysen:
Einarbu (near Mysen) is the cabin of OL Flaggtreff . The cabin is open every Sunday from mid-September to mid-April. Einarbu is located 6 km from Mysen. Turn off at Trømborg church or from Susebakke. Signposted from Ruud and from Dynjan. Turn off highway 123 at Susebakke onto county road 685 towards Trømborg. After 3.5 km, at the Øierud farm, turn onto a gravel road, signposted Einarbuveien, and follow this to the cabin.
Arnbjørnrudhytta is now an unserviced cabin in the DNT system. There are three 4-person rooms. A total of 12 beds, one of them a little wide. Great kitchen with "everything" you need in terms of equipment, gas burners and a wood stove. Spacious dining area along one wall in a large, beautiful living room that also has a new fireplace. Towards the sunset you can use a new terrace - and just below a spacious campfire site. New, beautiful shed with old-fashioned toilet and plenty of space for storing firewood.
Rakkestad:
Skrabberud Scout Hut (Rakkestad) is open on Sundays when skiing is possible. Take the exit from rv. 124 to Budalen, see signs. Skrabberud Scout Hut is located 15 km from Rakkestad City Center, with a road all the way to it all year round. There is a toll road for the last few kilometers, and it costs NOK 40,- to pass. It is a simply furnished scout hut.
Jonsrudhytta is open on Sundays when skiing is possible. Sign from rv. 124.
Frønehytta, is also a DNT hut. Recently restored. Located not far from Frønesjøen.
Aremark:
Bøensætre (419 34 060) is a living farm that welcomes visitors, dining and overnight stays, for up to 7 people in the storeroom, up to 10 people in living room. Dining/overnight stays by reservation. Take the rv. 21 about 15 km north of Aremark center. Owned and operated today by Hedda Kortnes. For more information, see here
In the middle of Strømsfoss center you will find Fjøset, which is a coastal cabin.
Askim:
Skansehytta is located in scenic surroundings in Åsermarka between Askim and Trøgstad. The cabin is open to hikers. The cabin is rented out for parties, baptisms, confirmations, memorial services, schools. Access from Askim, follow rv. 115 towards Trøgstad, turn left at the sign Skansehytta, about 5 km from Askim. Hobøl:
Gaupesteinshytta (Speiderhytta) in Tomter is open to the public from the first Sunday after New Year's Day until Easter. Follow Gaupesteinshytta on Facebook for more information.
Marker:
Lysholmhytta (Marker) is open on some days when skiing is available. The Marker Orienteering Club owns the hut. Trails are paved starting from Ørjetun. (Ørjetun - Lysholm 6.4 km). Kamperud 4.5 km. Follow Marker Orienteering Club on Facebook for more information.
Rødenes IL's ski hut The hut is located at Korsmyra on Rømskogveien (RV 21) northeast of Rødenes. Follow Rødenes IL on Facebook for more information.
Flaggytta is located midway between Ørje and Strømsfoss. This is also a coastal hut.
Skiptvet:
Furukollen turhytte/Lionshytta The hut is open every Sunday from November to Easter, except at Christmas. Take highway 115 to the municipality of Våler/Skiptvet. Free parking on the north side of the highway - Well-marked trail (approx. 3km). When skiing, there is a paved trail, but it is normally possible to walk. Nature trail with many information posters along the way. When skiing, there are paved trails from several places in the village. The cabin can also be rented for various purposes.
Lavvo in Bergedalsåsen, possibility for overnight stay, marked trail from Berga and Bjørkebru.
Trøgstad:
Pershytta is located at the top of Trøgstad Fort. Open every Sunday except for a short period during the summer holidays and Christmas. The cabin serves waffles, coffee, juice and quick lunches. The catering is provided by the Trøgstad ski group. Here there is a beautiful view over Indre Østfold with a map of where you can see over to Gaustatoppen, Blefjell, Norefjell, Tryvann, Lifjell and Linneklekken on clear days.
