With the cold weather and snow comes the ski trails of Indre Østfold.

When weather conditions allow, many kilometers of groomed cross-country trails are prepared in the forests of Indre Østfold.

There are also several illuminated trails (often near schools and residential areas) that invite you to take evening walks in a very special atmosphere. Whether you are looking for a relaxing experience among snow-covered trees or want a proper workout, the trails are there waiting for you!

Fjella

The large area between Marker, Eidsberg, Rakkestad, and Aremark is the largest contiguous natural area in Østfold. A network of groomed ski trails invites you to enjoy long ski trips.

There are also several hiking cabins in the region.

Some of the cabins are open to the public for meals during parts of the year, primarily during the winter months. Hiking maps can be purchased at Visit Indre Østfold, in sports shops, and in bookstores.
