Long hills and deep forests. In Indre Østfold there are good opportunities for a short forest walk or longer hikes in our large forest areas. The largest forest area in Østfold is Fjella. Fjella is a natural gem in Indre Østfold, stretching from Ørje in the east to Mysen in the west and Rakkestad in the south. There are countless paths for walking, running and cycling, ski trails and not least beautiful scenery.
The region has many hiking huts, observation towers and bird towers, and for those who want to spend the night in nature there are many prepared campsites and huts.
